Asian Games organiers goof up Nepal's national anthem

Doha, Nov 30 (UNI) Going so far without any hiccup, the 15th Asian Games had its first serious goof up today when the organisers made a faux pas while playing Nepal's national anthem at the Athletes' Village.

The Mayor of the Athletes' Village welcomed the contingent of Nepal and the Nepalese national flag was unfurled. But the national anthem which the organiers played was not the actual one and that led to confusion and resentment.

Eventually, the organisers had to repeat the ceremony in the afternoon and they heaved a sigh of huge relief as everything went right this time.
