Tea Festival to be held in Guwahati in 2007

New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) A Tea Festival and conference will be organised at Guwahati in mid-2007, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jairam Ramesh said today.

The festival, being organised jointly by the Tea Board and the tea industry, will showcase various Indian and Assam teas for overseas buyers.

The probable date for the event, which was aimed at export promotion, "was likely to be May/June 2007", the Minister informed the Lok Sabha in a written reply.
