Siniora wants Bush talks in Amman to cover Lebanon
BEIRUT, Nov 28 (Reuters) Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora asked Jordan's king today to raise Israel's violations of Lebanese airspace during the monarch's talks with US President George W Bush in Amman this week.
Siniora's office said in a statement the prime minister urged King Abdullah in a telephone call to raise with Bush ''issues that interest Lebanon''.
Bush will meet King Abdullah on Wednesday during a two-day visit to the Jordanian capital during which he will also hold talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
The statement said the key issues were Lebanon's demands that Israel halt military overflights, which Beirut and the United Nations say violate a Security Council resolution that ended a 34-day war between Israel and Hezbollah guerrillas in August, and to pull out of the Lebanese half of Ghajar village.
It also said Lebanon wanted to resolve the dispute over the Israeli-occupied Shebaa Farms area, which Israel and the UN say is Syrian while Lebanon, and Syria and Hezbollah say it is Lebanese.
