Sathabhiseka Mahotsavan of Ahobila mutt jeer begins tomorrow

Srirangam, Tamil Nadu, Nov 29 (UNI) The 'Sathabhisheka mahotsavam,' the 80th Thirunakshatram completion of the 45th jeer of Sri Ahobila mutt Sri Lakshmi Nrusimha Divya Padukasevaka Srivan Satakopa Sri Narayana Yateendra Mahadesikan would be celebrated in a grand manner at the historic Dasavathara Sannidhi (shrine) here tomorrow.

Informing this to newspersons today, M V Ananda Padmanabhan of the celebration committee said Jeer swamigal popularly called as 'Azhagiya Singar' would be taken on a procession tomorrow on a Ivory palanquin from the Dasavathara sannidhi through the Chithirai and Uthira streets around the famed Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple, amid recitation of vedas and divya prabhandam.

About 150 vedic and sanskrit scholars from various parts of the country would participate in the Veda Parayanam, he said adding that hundreds of devotees from various parts of the country were expected to take part in the 'Avathara Jayanthi'(Sathabhisheka celebrations) tomorrow.

A compact disc on 'Thirupaavai upanyasam' by jeer swamigal, a book of jeer's 'Arulurai' and another book 'Brahmasutra Ramanuja Shri Bashyam' would be released on the occasion.

He said in connection with the celebrations, free transportation and annadhanam have been arranged for the devotees.
