Chhattisgarh will be a 'naxal-free' state in three years : CM
Hyderabad, Nov 29 (UNI) Stating that the naxal problem was on the decline in the state, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh today said the government was taking all steps to wipe out the menace from the state in the next three years.
Talking to newsmen here, Mr Singh said the naxal problem in Sarguja area, bordering Jharkhand and Bihar states, has been brought down by ten per cent by deploying special forces and providing employement to the people.
The government was also taking measures to wipe out insuregency in Bastar and Dantewada areas, he said.
Stating that his government was protecting the activists of ''Salwajudum'' from naxal attacks, he said irrigation facility has been increased in the tribal areas of Bastar and Dantewada.
Development is the only solution to usher in 'peace' in the naxal infested areas.
