Capital punishment to woman, 3 sons for 'sacrificing' boy

Bulandshahr, Nov 29 (UNI) A court has pronounced capital punishment to a woman and her three sons in a human sacrifice case of the district.

Fast Track Court judge Shankar Lal gave death penalty yesterday to Subhadra and her sons -- Satvir, Sanjay and Sheeshpal -- for killing eight year old Aakash (8) on February 23, 2006 in Bada village under Khurja (Dehat) area.

The family had 'sacrificed' the minor under an occult ritual seeking prosperity and end to fear.

The victim was playing in the open when Subhadra's sons picked him up and 'sacrificed' him inside their house.

Later, the villagers spotted the body and chased the accused, who were trying to flee.

The quartet were handed over to the police and a case registered against them by Aakash's family.

The judge also handed over a fine of Rs 2,200 each to the four convicts apart from capital punishment.
