Yediyurappa finds fault with EC's actions
Mysore, Nov 28 (UNI) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader B S Yediyurappa today accused the Election Commission of dancing to the tunes of the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre and being biased in its recent decisons concerning the Chamundeswari Assembly byelecton, scheduled for December four.
Speaking to media persons here, he said he had high regards for the EC, but the Congress ''forcing'' the EC to transfer officials and seizing the cars of Ministers and those belonging to the ruling party could not be tolerated.
Mr Yediyurappa asked why the official cars of Union Ministers who were campaigning for the Congress candidate were not seized by the Election Observer camping in the city. Besides, deploying paramilitary forces for bypoll duty was an insult to the electorate.
He threw an open challenge to KPCC President Mallikarjuna Kharge, former Chief Minister N Dharam Singh and Congress candidate Siddaramaiah for a joint campaign along with him and Janata Dal (S) in the constituency on the basis of the Government's programmes and policies.
