Ratan Tata conferred 'Entrepreneur of the Decade' award

Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) Tata group chairman Ratan Tata was conferred the Bombay Management Association's (BMA) ''Entrepreneur of the Decade'' award while Akbarallys retail chain chairman Fakhruddin T Khorakiwala received the ''Lifetime Achievement'' award for 2005-06.

The awards were presented by Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna at a function here yesterday.

Among the other awardees, Crompton Greaves managing director Sudhir M Trehan received the ''Management Man of the Year'' award, Marico Industries CMD Harsh Mariwala received the ''Entrepreneur of the Year'' award, while Balaji Telefilms creative director Ekta Kapoor was conferred the ''Management Woman Achiever of the Year'' award.

The BMA is a premier management asociation established in 1954 and has over 3200 members, representing large corporates and financial institutions in the western region.

BMA president Dr N M Kondup, senior management professional Dr Ram Tarneja, captains of the industry and management professionals, were present on the occasion.
