Punjab govt provided land to Reliance at Rs 60 per sq yard: Sidhu

Jalandhar, Nov 28 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) sitting MP Navjot Singh Sidhu alleged that the Punjab Government has provided around 500 acres of land in Goindwal Sahib to Reliance Industries at the rate of Rs 60 per square yard.

Talking to reporters here today Mr Sidhu said, his is a clear instance of favouritism shown by the present Congress government in the state.'' He said, it is really strange that poor people are getting just one kg daal(pulses) for Rs 60 where as rich industrialist are getting one square yard of prime land for the same amount.'' He said the present Amarinder Singh Government had proved to be ''anti people'' and he would do his best to oust this government in the next assembly elections in the state.

The Cricketer-turned-politician said he is planning to begin his statewide campaign against Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and the ruling Congress from December one this year.

Mr Sidhu said he would go to every corner in the state to make the voters aware against the ''anti people'' acts of the government.
