Italian footwear major Geox enters Indian market through M

Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) Taking footwear fashion to a new high, bollywood glamour brigade ushered in Italian footwear major 'Geox', into the Indian market through M&B Footwear, here. M&B Footwear Pvt Ltd also manages the sales of some of the globally renowned brands like Lee Cooper, Provogue, iD, Rider&Firangi.

The director of M&B Footwear Mr Inderdev Singh Musafir said, ''Every brand from the M&B stable has been a trendsetter and fashion statement. With Geox, we have accentuated that statement and created a new niche, taking footwear fashion&technology to another level".

Elaborating on their Indian-expansion plans, the vice-president (Operations) of Geox-Italy, Mr Guido Pullini says, ''Initially my company will be opening it's showrooms at New Delhi and Mumbai.'' Explaining the unique feature of Geox' shoes, he said every shoe of my company ''breathes'' through microholes in the outsole. These unique microholes, lined by a specially designed membrane, embedded between the insole&outsole, do not let the water to get inside the shoe while allowing the sweat and heat to exit.

The launch was marked by a glittering mega event late yesterday, evening, when bollywood stars like Fardeen Khan, Natasha, Isha Deol and others walked the ramp on the occasion.
