HC takes strong view of movement of litigants near judges chambers

Allahabad, Nov 28 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court today took a strong exception to the movement of litigants in the corridors of the judges chambers and creating a hindrance in their privacy and secrecy here.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Allahabad B D Polson, who was summoned in the court along with 15 police personnel for their negligence, tendered an unconditional apology before the bench comprising Justice Amitava Lala and Justice V C Mishra.

After appearing in a case in another court, the SSP along with other 15 cops including a inspector posted in the court for security had entered the judges corridor yesterday and thereby disturbed the movement of judges going to sit in the Court.

Since the inspector was not aware of the incident, the Court had directed the registrar general to ensure the presence of the SSP on November 28 in the Court.

This afternoon, the SSP appeared as per the direction of the Court and tendered an apology letter through advocate V S Mishra for the inconvenience caused to the judges.

The Court further warned that the corridors near the chambers of judges are meant for them only and not for the litigants.

The Court expressed deep concern over the routine movement of the litigants, advocate clerks and staff of the registery department near the judges chamber without any work, creating nuisance and disturbing the peace and tranquility.
