Festival in honour of Pandit Jasraj' father, uncles

Hyderabad, Nov 28: The four-day 34th Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroha will be conducted here at Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj International Centre of Cultural and Aesthetic Studies, Nizam College here from November 30.

Director Departrment of Cultura Andhra Pradesh Rallabandi Kavitha Presad and Pandit Jasraj told reporters here yesterday the 'sangeet samaroh' was in memory of Jasraj's father Pandit Motiram and his elder brother and Guru Pandit Maniram.

Master Yashwant (Tabla prodigy), Ulhas Bapat(santoor), Sanjeev Abhayankar (vocal), Ashwini Bhide Deshpande (vocal), Gundecha Brothers (Dhrupad vocal duet), Kumaresh-Ganesh (Carnatic violin duet) and other prominent artistes would take part in the programme.

Andhra Pradesh Governor Rameshwar Thakkar would be the chief guest.
