National harmony, integrity in danger: Uma Bharti
Mahoba, Nov 27 (UNI) Bhartiya Jan Shakti Party (BJS) president and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti today said the country's national harmony and intergrity was in danger.
Addressing a gathering here, the expelled BJP leader alleged that some politicians had diverted from the path of Gandhiji and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
''Some politicians are only concerned about their vote bank and have nothing to do with the grievances of the poor.'' She alleged Congress had forgotten the oath taken by its founders during India's freedom struggle.
Expresing concern over the rising cases of farmer suicide, she accused the Samajwadi Party-led Uttar Pradesh government as well as the UPA regime at the Centre for ignoring the plight of the farmers.
''BSP supremo Mayawati is a political humbug as she only pretends to be a well wisher of the dalits for political reasons.'' The firebrand leader said ''BJP does not practice what it preaches and internal politics haunting the party would decide its fate in the 2007 assembly elections.'' Recalling the attack on her during the recent MP bypoll, she alleged that BJP was providing shelter to the accused.
