LJP activists burn effigies of Indian Cricket Team players
Allahabad, Nov 27 (UNI) Peeved after Team India's second disgraceful defeat at the hands of South Africa last night at Cape town, the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) activists today took to streets and burnt the players effigy in front of Mohd Kaif's house here.
A large number of workers gathered in front of Kaif's residence near the Boys High School and shouted slogans against the team members for their poor performances in the recent past.
The mob damaged Kaif's house during the the protest.
''If the players are unable to perform better, then they should wear bangles and sit in their home,'' the protestors said.
Local police reached the spot and chased the mob away.
