9 infant deaths reported; Kutch health officer rushes to village
Bhuj, Nov 27 (UNI) Nine infants, have died due to fever and jaundice in the past month in a small village in Rapar taluka of Kutch, official sources said.
Chief District Health officer D K Dabhi today rushed to Devisar village to take stock of the situation.
The village, which has a population of 233 (comprising 50 families), comes under the Primary Health Care centre in Fatehgarh.
The reports of deaths came to be known during a health survey conducted by NGO Gram Swaraj Sangh.
