21 Pak fishermen arrested, 3 boats seized near Jakhau
Jamnagar, Nov 27 (UNI) The Indian Coast Guard have nabbed 21 Pakistani fishermen and seized their three boats near Jakhau for illegally fishing in Indian waters.
''About 600 kg of fish were found in the three boats,'' the Coast Guard said in a statement.
The arrested fishermen were brought to Okha and handed over to the local police, it ADDED.
The Coast Guard ship 'Tara Bai' had spotted the ''suspicious-looking'' three boats yesterday fishing illegally in Indian waters. When the fishermen realised that they had been caught, they too tried to speed off but the Coast Guard men fired in air and asked them to stop.
The fishermen, seven in each boat, were nabbed and brought to Okha today for joint interrogation and later handed over to the Okha police.
