Sweden's Said Regragoui wins men's Pune International marathon
Pune, Nov 26 (UNI) Rank outsider Said Regragoui of Sweden beat the formidable Kenyans to win the gruelling men's 42.195 km race in the Hutch-sponsored 21st Pune International Marathon here today.
Kenya's Hellen Nzembi Musyoka won the women's 21 km race.
Regragoui outwitted a strong field to win the race, clocking 2 hours 18.23 minutes. Oswald Reverian Kuhuruzi of Tanzania and Abebe Seyeum of Ethiopia will placed second and third respectively.
Kenyan women, however, made a clean sweep winning the first three places. Musyoka claimed the top honour clocking one hour, 13 minutes and 20 seconds. Cathy Mutwa and Paulin Mutwa Thitu were placed second and third respectively.
