Gehlot alleges misuse of official machinery in by-election

Jaipur, Nov 26(UNI) Former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot alleged that the BJP government in the state has made a mockery of the model code of conduct in force in the Dungarpur district with the ransfer of 19 officials after the declaration of December 4 by-election there.

Addressing a press conference here today, the Congress leader said the state government has transferred 19 officials from the district in violation of the code of conduct.

He also informed that the construction of hand pumps and tube wells is on, and power connections are being given in strict violation of the code of conduct.

Mr Gehlot also alleged that the governemnt is misusing the offcial machinery to win the election.
