Kasuri arrives with agenda of 'mithai, bhindi, aloo'

New Delhi, Nov 25 (UNI) Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri arrived here today on a three-day private visit with the agenda of ''bhindi, aloo and mithai'' but said the two countries had made ''a lot of progress'' on the Siachen issue.

Asked what was the agenda of his discussions, Mr Kasuri told reporters on arrival at the airport that ''bhindi, aloo and sweets.'' Mr Kasuri is here on a three-day private visit to attend the marriage of the daughter of Union Minister Mani Shankar Aiyer.

However, he will meet External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee at lunch on Monday.

He refused to answer questions on Jammu and Kashmir saying he was on a private visit.

However, when asked about the recent Foreign Secretary-level talks between India and Pakistan and whether Pakistan had acted on the 'evidence' given by India on terrorist attacks he said it must have been given to experts (in Islamabad).

India had not provided any evidence on the July 11 train bombings in Mumbai which killed nearly 190 people, he added.

On Siachen he said Pakistan's position was very clear. Both countries had made a lot of progress but political will was needed to resolve the issue.
