Varanasi blasts case:Trail of main accused shifted to Ghaziabad

Allahabad, Nov 24 (UNI) Allahabad High Court today transferred the trial of the main accused in Varanasi serial bomb blasts case, to Ghaziabad.

The main accused Walliullah had moved the HC seeking transfer of the trial of his criminal case from Varanasi to some other district in Uttar Pradesh.

The accused had alleged danger to his life at Varanasi and pleaded no counsel was available to him to plead his case there.

Justice Shiv Shankar passed this order on the application filed by Walliullah under CrPC section 407.

The court allowed his application at the admission stage without seeking reply from UP, as well as instruction from the district judge, Varanasi.
