TJP appeals to people to defeat Cong in bypoll
Hyderabad, Nov 24 (UNI) Pointing out that AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh's statements were confusing the people of Andhra Pradesh on the issue of separate Telangana, Telangana Jana Parishad (TJP) today appealed the Telangana people to defeat the Congress in the by-poll to Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat on December four.
In a press release here, TJP President Keshav Rao Jadav said the people of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh had taught a lesson to the Congress when the party rejected the formation of smaller states there.
Charging the UPA government with neglecting the Telangana issue even as the opposition parties including BJP supported it, he said there was already a consensus on Telangana in Parliament. But the UPA was not willing to introduce the Bill for a seperate state.
