One rescued from Parihar gang's clutches
Morena, MP, Nov 24 (UNI) One person was today rescued from the gang of dreaded dacoit Jagjivan Parihar, who carries a reward of Rs 5 lakh, while the dacoits fled into forest, police said.
The gang, active in border regions of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, had abducted four people -- Ram Govind Gurjar, Rajendra Gurjar, Ramlakhan Singh Gurjar, and Gudda Dandotia alias Pravendra -- on October 28.
Three days later, the gang released Ram Govind and a ransom demand of Rs 11 lakh for releasing each of the abducted was made.
Superintendent of Police Yogesh Choudhary said Gudda was found tied in ropes during a search in the ravines of Devgadh. On seeing police, dacoits fled into the forest.
The gang was still holding two people captive.
Gudda told reporters that the Parihar gang had 35 members, who possessed modern weapons. The gang had regular contacts with the Charna Sikarwar gang.
He was starved for four-four days and physically tortured. He added that he was taken to Rajasthan and brought to Morena yesterday.
