4 sakthi peetams consecrated by Bangaru Adigal
Tiruchirapalli, Nov 24: Founder of ''Swayambu Sri Adi Parasakthi Siddhar Peetam'' Melmaruvathur Sri Bangaru Adigal will consecrate four Sakthi Peetams -- Temples dedicated to Goddess Adi Parasakhi -- in Tiruchirapalli city on November 27 and 30.
Talking to reporters here, M Muthukaruppan, District President of ''Adi Parasakhi Aanmeeka Prachara Kuzhu'' said Bangaru Adigal would arrive here tomorrow on a seven day tour. Hundreds of devotees from various parts of the state would take out a spiritual procession to invoke the blessings of ''Sri Adi Parasakthi''. Adigal would deliver a benedictory address at the end of the procession, which would culminate at Ramachandrapuram in the city.
A special yagam would be performed by Bangaru Adigal for world peace and prosperity at Muriri on November 26. The newly constructed Sakthi Peetams located at Thillai Nagar, Srinivasa Nagar, Kailasapuram and Ganapathi Nagar in the city would be consecrated on November 27 and 30.
On November 30, brides and bridegrooms hailing from poor families would tie the nuptal knot in the presence of Bangaru Adigal.
Distribution of various assistance to poor people would also be held on the same day.
Bangaru Adigal would consecrate two more Sakthi Peetams constructed at Ariyalur in neighbouring Perambalur district on December 1.
