Former national football coach Dereyk D'souza passes away
Mumbai, Nov 24 (UNI) Dereyk D'souza, former international football player and ex-coach of the national football team, died here last night, following rupture of the aorta.
D'souza was 69 and is survived by a son.
He passed away at 2300 hrs last night at Jaslok Hospital.
He coached a number of top football clubs and was closely associated with Mumbai football.
The mortal remains of D'souza will be brought to the Cooperage Football Ground at 1300 hrs tomorrow and will be kept there till 1500 hrs for people to pay their last respects.
The burial will take place at Hainess Road Cemetery, Mumbai Football Association General Secretary Souter Vaz said here.
