Boarders complain of faulty constuction of Mizo House

Aizawl, Nov 24 (UNI) The Mizoram House, recently inagurated by Chief Minister Zoramthanga at New Delhi, has drawn criticism from the boarders for its faulty design and construction, official sources here today said.

The boarders, put up at the Mizoram House, have complained about the faulty electrical wiring, dyfucnt geysers and lifts and said that the building was not up to the mark.

Official sources said, '' The Rs 12 crore was spend to construct the house but Rs 4 crore Chhatisgarh House near the Mizoram House was in much better shape.'' Initially, the house was supposed to be completed by October 2005 at a cost of Rs 9.5 crore at Chanakyapuri, but was reconstructed at a cost of Rs 18 crore, sources added.

Meanwhile, the state's general administration department has revised the tariffs of the rooms in Mizoram Houses and other government bungalows such as circuit houses and inspection bungalows.
