BJP accuses UPA of failing to contain terrorism

Shimla, Nov 24: Accusing the UPA Government at the Centre of failing to contain terrorism in the country, the Himachal Pradesh unit of the BJP today said Congress was ''playing'' with the country's security.

State BJP president Suresh Bhardwaj said while terrorist activities in the country were on an increase, the government had done nothing concreate to contain it.

The presence of large number of ty activists at the Parliament has proved that the people had lost faith in the UPA Government and was preparing to vote it out, he said, in a release here.

Accusing Prime Minister Manomhan Singh and AICC President Sonia Gandhi of trying to protect December 13, 2001 Parliament accused Afzal Guru from the gallows, Mr Bhardwaj said they should publicly clear their stand on the issue.

The Congress was still pursuing ''vote bank politics'' over the interests of the country he said adding that the party was ready to make sacrifices to contain the activities of terrorists in the country.
