Adequate number of doctors in Delhi dispensaries: Minister

New Delhi, Nov 24 (UNI) Adequate number of doctors and paramedical staff are posted in dispensaries, including those in the South Zone, to cater to the needs of patients, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Panabaka Lakshmi informed the Rajya Sabha today.

The Minister said in a written reply that only one transfer order was cancelled on humanitarian grounds as the Pharmacist posted at a Gurgaon Dispensary was seriously ill.

In response to another question, she said charges for consultation and other facilities to CGHS beneficiaries have been fixed on the basis of rates quoted by various private hospital and diagnostic centres.

A revised package of rates based on the lowest rates quoted by the applicants have been made effective from November 1.
