Delhi's Shreya Malhotra enters final of AITA series

Chandigarh, Nov 23 (UNI) It will be an all -Chandigarh affair in the boys under-18 singles final of the AITA Talent Series at the CLTA Stadium here tomorrow.

In the semi-final matches played today, giant-killer Harry S Amor lost to Mandeep Singh Gill 1-6, 2-6 while Chandom Shaolin of Chandigarh overcame a tough resistance from Santosh Ghatage of Maharashtra in well-contested sets 6-7 (7), 6-2, 6-2. The maraton match lasted more than three hours.

Digvijay S Naruka will meet Nischay Rawal in the boys Under-12 singles final. Digvijay ousted Pankaj Kumar, also of Chandigarh, in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 while Nischay Rawal of Chandigarh ended the strong challenge of Kamal Kishore Maderana of Rajasthan 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.

Delhi's Shreya Malhotra will meet Bhavika Wadhawan of Chandigarh in the girls Under-12 singles final tomorrow. In the semi-finals today, Shreya defeated Parminder Kaur (Chd) 6-3, 6-2 and Bhavika Wadhawan (Chd) defeated Simran Kaur Sethi (Dli) 6-2, 6-3. Results: Boys U-18 singles (semi-finals): Mandeep S.
