Signature campaign for Afzal Guru organised

Puducherry, Nov 22: The BJP in Puducherry organised signature campaign at eight different centres here to press the UPA Government to implement the capital punishment awarded to Mohammed Afzal Guru in the Parliament attack case.

BJP state president M Visveswaran inaugurated the campaign in the Nehru street here. After explaining the necessity to execute the supreme court order, signatures were taken from passers-by on a white cloth.

Former BJP president R Kesavalu and other party functionaries participated in the campaign.

The signatures would be forwarded to President APJ Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh through the party high command.
