Efforts to solve woes of teachers are on: Mulayam
Lucknow, Nov 22 (UNI) Stating that all possible efforts to solve the problems of teachers are on, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today asked them to perform their duty with responsibilty.
Addressing a function organised by the UP Senior Basic Teachers Association here, he noted the state government has included 1,000 schools in the aid list, while another 1,000 schools would be included during the next financial year.
He added the teachers at the basic and primary level are making a great contribution in the progress of the nation.
Talking about the brain drain, he said the imbalance of education had to be removed in order to eradicate social inequality.
He said the State Government has taken all the necessary steps and accorded top priority to education for achieving the objective.
Expressing his concern over the ever-decreasing number of girls and discrimination against them, he said that the ''Kanya Vidya Dhan Yojna was just an effort to bail out the girl child and ''restore to them their dignity''.
