Rs 2.25 cr provided to nearly 15000 beneficiaries in south Kashmir
Srinagar, Nov 21 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Government has provided an amount of Rs 2.25 crore to 14846 beneficiaries as financial assistance under the Integrated Social Security Scheme (ISSS) in south Kashmir district of Anantnag during the current financial year so far.
Under the National Old Age Pension Scheme, more than Rs 80 lakh has been provided to 7,068 beneficiaries in the district during this period as well, an official spokesman said today.
He said Rs 20 lakh is being distributed to 200 families under the National Family Benefit Scheme while 8960 additional beneficiaries have been covered under ISSS in the district.
As many as 839 anganwari workers and helpers have been engaged in the 884 Anganwari Centres of the district this year.
