Police organise health camp for tribals in AP
Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, Nov 21 (UNI) A mega medical camp was organised by the district police exclusively for the tribals of remote corners at Gangaram and surrounding villages in Kothagud mandal in this district today.
As many as 25 doctors of Indian Medical Association rendered free services to more than 1,500 tribals of six villages surrounding the Gangaram village. The police distributed free medicines worth Rs one lakh to the needy patients.
Several parents of the naxal leaders also attended the medical camp.
Superintendent of Police Soumya Mishra inaugurated the medical camp.
She said they were busy ensuring law and order and the primary duty being protection of public property, they wanted to help the tribals who do not have minimum medical facilities.
