Delegation of Ministers from Fiji call on Sheila Dikshit

New Delhi, Nov 21 (UNI) A delegation of Fiji Ministers led by External Affairs Minister Kaliopate Tavola today called on Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit at Delhi Secretariat.

Mr Tavola was accompanied by Labour and Industry Minister Krishna Dutt and Commerce Minister Adi Sivia Quoro and Fiji High Commissioner to India Luke Rokowada.

The delegation was on a eight-day visit to India to explore possibilities of Indian investment in their country. The delegation was on a follow-up trip after visit of Fijian Prime Minister to India last year when number of MoUs were signed. These MoUs were related to cooperation in the field of health, pharmaceutical, tourism and trade.

The members of the delegation would also visit Mumbai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.

The members of delegation exchanged views about administrative set-up of both the countries and referred to an emotional relationship between India and Fiji.

They appreciated efforts of Delhi government in curbing pollution and providing world's large CNG fleet in the capital.

They took keen interest in ongoing infrastructural developmental projects relating to Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

Ms Dikshit apprised members of the Fijian delegation about composite culture of the city.
