Top stars to vie for Royal Challenge Samarvir Sahi Amateur Golf

Chandigarh, Nov 20 (UNI) India's top amateurs will be seen in action at the Royal Challenge Samarvir Sahi Amateur Golf Championship which begins at the Par-72 Chandigarh Golf Club here tomorrow.

The championship will witness the likes of Anirban Lahiri, Joseph Chakola, Simarjeet Singh, Jaskeerat Dullet, Jasjeet Singh and Manav Das among other top amateurs, vying for supremacy.

Leading the field will be Gaganjeet Bhullar, who has so far won four titles on the Royal Challenge Amateur circuit and on current form looks set to add one more to his kitty.

Among the notable absentees include Chirag Kumar and Himmat Rai.

Chirag scripted a memorable win in the amateur category at the 2006 Indian Open and has been in splendid form this season winning the Singapore amateur and Pakistan amateur title on his way to earning a place in the Indian team for the Doha Asian Games alongside Gaganjeet Bhullar, Anirban Lahiri and Joseph Chakola.
