One killed, 25 injured in truck-bus collision

Una, Nov 20 (UNI) One person was killed and 25 injured when a private bus collided with a truck near Mubarikpur in Amb sub-division of Una district today.

The private bus, was plying from Daulatpur Chowk to Una and the truck was going in the opposite direction when the accident took place.

Truck driver Krishan a resident of Nalagarh, died on the spot.

Three of the 25 injured, identified as Dilbagh Singh, Kehar Din and bus driver Raghubir Singh, were referred to PGI Chandigarh as their condition was stated to be serious.

The other patients had been admitted to PHC Amb and PHC Mubarikpur. Amb SDM Subhash Nanda visited the hospitals and gave away Rs 17,500 as immediate relief to the injured. A case under sections 279 and 337 IPC has been registered.
