Haryana takes cricket to roots;8-cr stadium inaugurated in village
Lahli, Haryana, Nov 20 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today inaugurated a state-of-the-art Ch Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium at Lahli near Rohtak in a bid to nurture cricketing talent in the rural areas.
Constucted at a cost of Rs eight crore, the stadium conforms to international standards and would house the Haryana Cricket Association Academy, HCA secretary and former BCCI president Ranbir Singh Mahendra said.
Mahendra announced that the Ranji Trophy match between Haryana and Andhra Pradesh to be played on the November 23 shall be the first match to be played on this ground.
The function was presided over by Union Minister for Mines Sis Ram Ola.
