All India FCI Inter Zonal Badminton Tennis Tournament begins

Gangtok, Nov 20 (UNI) The three-day annual All India Food Corporation of India Inter Zonal Badminton and Table Tennis tournament began at the Palzor stadium here today.

Altogether 45 employees from four zones --East West South, North Zone and FCI Head quarter will participate in the tournament.

Though the tournament was being held at Gangtok, the North East Zone is not participating in the tournament.

Last year the championship was held at Ooty and North Zone was champion in TT will South Zone ending up as runners up.

In Badminton South Zone was the champion and FCI Headquarters, Delhi was the runners up.

Executive Director and Vice-President of Sports Promotion Board of FCI A K Chaudhury inaugurated the tournement that would conclude on November 22.
