330 people involved in illicit liquor trade arrested in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 20 (UNI) Enforcement Intelligence Wing of Excise Department has arrested 330 people in connection with illicit liquor trade in the city in October alone.

Delhi Finance and Planning Minister A K Walia complimented the efforts of the department in curbing illicit liquor trade and booking 326 cases in October alone, a statement today said.

As many as 10,447 bottles of country liquor and 3,348 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor were seized during raids conducted by the department.

Dr Walia expressed confidence that the state government would soon be able to overcome the problem of illicit liquor trade in capital.
