Punjab Police rout Sikh Regiment 8-1 in Nehru hockey
New Delhi, November 19 (UNI) Jugraj Singh looked his old lethal self and the drag-flicker pumped in three as formidable Punjab Police routed Sikh Regiment Centre 8-1 in a Group B league match of the 43rd Nehru Cup hockey tournament here today.
Gagandeep scored a brilliant field goal in the eighth minute to open the floodgates for the policemen. Jugraj converted all the three penalty corners that came their way.
For Sikh Regiment Centre, Jagan Singh scored the solitary goal in the 19th minute.
In another match, Namdhari XI came from behind to edge past Army XI 3-2 while the tie between BSF, Jalandhar and Punjab National Bank, Delhi ended in a goalless draw.
