TDP leader, wife hacked to death in AP

Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, Nov 18 (UNI) A Telugu Desam Party(TDP) leader and his wife were hacked to death by the unidentified persons at Chittagiri village in this district tonight.

Police said a group of unidentified persons attacked the house of the opposition TDP leader of Alur Assembly Constituency, Y Sriramulu. The assailants attacked Mr Sriramulu and his wife Shyamalamma with sickles. They were killed on the spot.

The assailants had switched off power in the village before the attack.

Police suspected the involvement of the TDP leader's relatives in the incident.
