Court extends police custody of 3 in flood relief scam
Mumbai, Nov 18 (UNI) Special Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) court today extended the police custody of three government employees till November 23, while two others have been sent to judicial custody in connection with mismanagement of the July 26 flood relief fund.
The ACB had arrested five persons in this connection.
Special ACB Judge P N Deshmukh, after hearing both sides, extended the police custody of Ashok Govind Kadam, Raghunath Bansode and Nana Loke, while Satish Salunkhe and Vishnu Magam have been sent to 14 days judicial custody.
All the arrested persons were government and semi-goverment employees and members of the flood relief distribution team set up for last year's July 26 flood victims in the metropolis.
Two employees arrested earlier by the ACB in this connection on the basis of an enquiry conducted this year are still in judicial custody.
