J'khand High Court asks CBI Director to appear in fodder case
Ranchi, Nov 17 (UNI) Jharkhand High Court today asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Director to appear on December 18 for violating court order in a case related to the Animal Husbandary department.
The court took a serious view when it came to know that the CBI transferred Superintendent of Police (CBI) Rajeev Ranjan Singh to Delhi without informing it.
A division bench comprising Chief Justices Muthusamy Karpagavinaygam and N N Tiwary passed the order while hearing a writ petition, filed by Mr Singh.
On August 24, 2004, Jharkhand High Court had directed the investigating agency not to transfer any CBI official without its permission.
Despite of the court order, the CBI on October 25 this year transferred the SP to Delhi.
However, the court stayed the order.
