ATF to open offices in J
Jammu, Nov 16 (UNI) Anti-Terrorist Front (ATF) today alleged that Jammu and Kashmir had a ''soft attitude'' towards militants, and decided to create a youth force to fight terrorism in the state.
''The ATF has decided to open its offices at the capital cities -- Jammu and Srinagar ,'' newly appointed ATF in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir Sudeep Singh Kadyan told reporters here today.
Talking about ''deteriorating'' law and order situation in Jammu, Mr Kadyan said, ''Innocent people are still becoming victims of the militancy. We are going to moblise youths against the terrorism.'' Criticising the working of the intelligence agencies of the country, he said, ''They only give information about infiltration bids in Kashmir.'' He asked Why don't they help apprehend the militants.
Blaming the country's friendly relations with Pakistan for India's sufferings, Mr Kadyan said, ''Pakistan has always supported terrorism against India by training the militants and providing them arms and ammunition.'' Mr Kadyan categorised all those, who advocated clemency to Mohammad Afzal Guru in parliament attack case, as ''rebels'', and said, ''These people have made mockery of the democracy.'' He also demanded setting up of separate courts for the fast trails of militancy-related cases.
