Vilasrao, Prabha to campaign for Nov 19 local polls

Mumbai, Nov 14 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and State Congress President Prabha Rau will campaign from November 16 in the last phase of campaigning for the November 19 elections to 167 municipal councils and two nagar panchayats in Maharashtra.

Party spokesman Anant Gadgil told reporters that on November 16, the Chief Minister will address rallies in Wardha, Yavatmal, Amravati, Buldhana to campaign for the congress in the local bodies polls.

Ms Rau will review the poll preparations of the party in Marathwada in Aurangabad on November 16. Co-operation Minister Dr Patangrao Kadam and Minister of state for culture Suresh Shetty will be present at the meeting. She will also visit Nasik along with the two ministers for reviewing the party's campaign in North Maharashtra fllowed by Amravati in the evening.

On November 17, she will hold meetings with the party cadre in Chandrapur in Vidarbha.
