PMK calls for boycott of Mayors meet in Lanka

Chennai, Nov 14 (UNI) The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) today said Mayors of six Corporations in Tamil Nadu should boycott the Asian Mayors' conference to be inaugurated by Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Dehra Dun on November 26, as a mark of protest over the killings of Tamils by the island forces.

In a statement here, party founder leader Dr S Ramadoss said to register our protest against Sri Lanka, which was killings the tamils and starve them to death, Tamil Nadu should officially declare that the Mayors would boycott the conference.

By boycotting the conferernce, we should make Sri Lanka and its President Rajapaksa understand the feelings of the people of Tamil Nadu and make India realise that it should immediately intervene and save the Tamils, Dr Ramadoss said.
