Jolie shoots in south Mumbai's traffic-packed roads
Mumbai, Nov 14 (UNI) Hollywood star Angelina Jolie continued her shooting on the roads of Mumbai for the second day today for the movie 'A Mighty Heart' based on the life of slain journalist Daniel Pearl.
Shots filmed on the actress were in a car. A vehicle with camera crew moving ahead of her car shot sequences of Jolie, attired in a grey dress. Her security guards followed in separate cars. A pilot vehicle led the group.
About seven to eight photographers from different media publications, who followed them from the five hotels opposite Gateway of India to Cuffe Parade and back, a distance of three to four Km, were asked by the security not to come in the frame.
The photographers, on their motorbikes, were allowed to take pictures of the filming. Even as the shooting in the moving cars was taking place, people around were oblivious to what was happening. The traffic was not disrupted and no hurdles were placed in the movement of public or private transport in the area.
Jolie plays the character of Pearl's wife Marianne on whose book the film is based.
After filming of the sequences from another vehicle, the crew joined Jolie in her car and took some close-up shots. The convoy returned from Cuffe Parade to Gateway of India. Jolie was in a different car on her return journey. She went back to her hotel opposite the Gateway of India to get ready for another round of shooting at a restaurant near the Gateway later in the day.
Daniel Pearl lived in Mumbai for seven years before going to Karachi on an assignment in 2002 and was killed by terrorists.
