Four of a family get imprisonment for dowry death
Varanasi, Nov 14 (UNI) A local court sentenced four members of a family to imprisonment spanning between seven and eight years in a case of dowry death.
Additional Sessions Judge (First) A K Mishra, hearing a case pertaining to the alleged dowry death of one Usha on June 19, 2005 in Sigra area, yesterday convicted and sentenced her husband Vinod, father-in-law Keshav and mother-in-law Ranno Devi to eight years rigorous imprisonment.
The judge also convicted the deceased's sister-in-law Rekha to seven years in prison, but acquitted another sister-in-law Urmilla of criminal charges for lack of evidence.
