City civil and session court Judge dismissed
Mumbai, Nov 14 (UNI) The state Law and Judiciary department has dimissed suspended Judge V C Singh from service for his alleged involvement in corrupt activities.
A three-page dismissal order stated that on January 9, 2002, Mr Singh had granted Anticipatory Bail Application (ABA) of Rs 25,000 to R C Jain without giving notice to the respondent.
Jain was arrested by Custom wing of Mumbai in an serious offence, official sources said here today.
Later, Mr Singh was suspended from service and a departmental inquiry was conducted, which found him guilty. The report was submitted an inquiry committee. Finally, Mr Singh was called for personnel hearing before Bombay High Court Judge R M Lodha, who had also rejected his contention and submitted the report to the Government.
In last week of October this year, the government had issued dismissal order effective from the date of the receipt of the order, sources added.
