Cash and jewellery worth Rs 4.95 lakhs looted from Jain Mandir

Surat, Nov 14 (UNI) Cash and jewellery worth Rs 4.95 lakhs were looted from Shitalnath Swami Jain Mandir near New Rander Road at Rander in the city last night.

In his complaint, temple trustee Rakeshbhai Pravinchand Shah said some unidentified persons broke open the door of the administrative office of the temple and looted cash and jewellery worth Rs 4.95 lakhs.

In another incident, a Jain temple at Piplod was looted of cash worth Rs 25,000 on Sunday night, police said.
