Wanted Nigerian nabbed at airport with Indian friends
Coimbatore, Nov 13 (UNI) Police took into custody a Nigerian national along with two other Indians when they were trying to escape from the airport here this afternoon.
Police said the man, Fidlish Adedara, 31, who was in hosiery business in Tirupur along with his Indian friends, Ajmar and Valampuri, was already wanted in a criminal case involving credit card transaction for buying air tickets.
On spotting him at the airport, the city police enquired him about his address. The Nigerian tried to escape, but police managed to nab him. Police also apprehended his two friends.
The trio are being interrogated by the police.
It may be recalled that airports in the south have been placed on high alert and security strengthened, following the receipt of an anonymous letter at Tiruchirapalli airport warning of car bomb attacks by 'Al Qaeda'.
